“The police actually allowed us to square off against each other,” a Black Lives Matter protester told CNN. “There were fights and the police were standing a block away the entire time. It’s almost as if they wanted us to fight each other.”

“Where are the police?” One Antifa protester said in the crowd. “I don’t see any police here!”

While the Far-Left dominated national media has concentrated on driving the narrative that President Trump somehow embraces “white nationalism” an astonishing set of facts about who is responsible for the chaos of the Charlottesville riot has emerged.

That reporting by truth-seeking independent journalists has revealed that, more than any other single person, it is Virginia’s Democratic Governor Terry McAuliffe who is responsible for the deaths of Heather Heyer, Trooper-Pilot Berke M. M. Bates. Pilot Lt. H. Jay Cullen, because he ordered his Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security Brian Moran to disperse the lawful “Unite the Right” protesters directly into the unlawfully gathered thugs of the anarchist and Black Bloc movement.

What’s more, McAuliffe held back the riot control-equipped police and allowed the unlawfully assembled Antifa shock troops to repeatedly charge the lawfully assembled white supremacist demonstrators.

The violent Leftists were allowed to bring out, unhindered by the police, a “battering ram” made out of plywood and reinforced with a metal step ladder. Radical leftist protesters charged the white supremacists with their hand-made weapon. White supremacist enforcers managed to stop the device before it reached the demonstrators gathered around the Lee statue, but a new group of violent Far-Left thugs arrived, again unhindered by the police, to try to push the ram further.

Other witnesses, including the Daily Caller News Foundation, reported violent Leftist groups maced white supremacists to start infiltrating Emancipation Park, where the rally was held. The violent Left also began throwing a variety of items at the white supremacists, such as balloons filled with urine, paint, or pieces of concrete, as well as soda cans filled with concrete, food, and full water bottles. When they were out of items to throw, the violent Left would search the streets for anything they could find to throw.

All this violence occurred completely unhindered by the police, or the so-called peaceful anti-violence groups on site, who actually made way the Antifa thugs to enter, again unhindered by the police.

“Shortly before 10 a.m. we noticed protesters making way for a new group marching from the east. We ran over to discover that the new group was a battalion of Antifa members from all across the country,” Phillip Stucky, a reporter for the Daily Caller who was on the scene at Emancipation Park that morning, wrote in an article published last Wednesday.

Stucky also reported that as the violence built the police moved to the northern part of the park, where he noticed that police in full riot gear were gathering with two armored transports that were working their way into position, with a line of police officers filed in behind the transports.

When the violence reached a crescendo, Governor McAuliffe ordered the previously passive police to disperse the white supremacists from the park directly into the assembled counter-demonstrators fronted by the violent Far-Left Antifa thugs.

The moment the emergency was declared, police officers started announcing on loudspeakers that the gathering was an unlawful assembly, and called for the crowd to disperse, cutting off the rally before it officially began, reported the New York Times.

Now here are the two points demonstrating Governor McAuliffe’s culpability for the deaths of Heather Heyer, Trooper-Pilot Berke M. M. Bates. Pilot Lt. H. Jay Cullen.

First, the New York Times reports that Governor McAuliffe and Secretary Moran said, “the police needed time to get the demonstrators out of the park, and off the streets, before riot police officers could move in.”

That statement makes no sense at all, unless one believes that bringing in the riot police after the riot was effectively over makes sense.

What it reveals is that Governor McAuliffe had no intention of stopping the riot from building, rather his actions suggest that what he was really looking for was an excuse to declare the “Unite the Right” demonstration an unlawful assembly and shut it down before it even began.

Which is exactly what Secretary Moran told talk radio host Jeff Katz last Monday, just two days after the riot.

As our friend Michael Patrick Leahy reported for Breitbart, “In light of the escalating violence we had to shut things down,” Moran told Katz.

Leahy reported Katz was able to confirm Moran’s statement the following day, Tuesday, when he interviewed Virginia State Police Superintendent Stephen Flaherty, who said that both he and Charlottesville City Manager Maurice Jones were with Secretary Moran at the Wells Fargo building command center that morning.

“The [Charlottesville] City Manager was in the command post with us [on the 6th Floor of the Wells Fargo building downtown Charlottesville],” Flaherty told Katz.

But seconds later in that interview, says Leahy, Flaherty let slip what critics of the police response to the Emancipation Park rally and related brawls between two opposing groups have been saying since the event occurred.

“We felt early on we would probably have to declare an unlawful assembly,” Flaherty said.

Why was that?

Here’s the second “tell” about McAuliffe’s motives: “You know, we didn’t want this event at Emancipation Park…” Moran told Jeff Katz.

In other words, they didn’t want the white supremacists to speak in front of the Lee statue and they had a preconceived narrative about what situation would allow them to declare the permitted “Unite the Right” rally an unlawful assembly and shut it down in defiance of a federal court order requiring them to allow it – and they then manipulated the situation to play out that narrative.

The counter-facts that would have prevented the violence and the death of Heather Heyer, and possibly Trooper-Pilot Bates. Pilot Lt. Cullen as well, are obvious:

What if the riot police and riot control vehicles on hand had been used to block the access streets leading to Emancipation Park to keep two groups with well-known propensities for violence apart, as common sense would dictate?

What if the “unlawful assembly” order had been aimed at the permitless violent Leftist thugs of the Black Bloc instead of the permit-holding violent white supremacist thugs?

And what if the riot police and riot control vehicles on hand had been used to block the access streets leading to Emancipation Park to prohibit vehicle access so that Alex Fields could not drive his car into the crowd and kill Heather Heyer?

And what if Virginia’s anti-masking law – originally passed to shut down the Ku Klux Klan – had been enforced, as it was in Alabama, to shut down the violent Far Left Antifa thugs?

You can read Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security Brian Moran’s astonishingly lame and disingenuous “we’ll have to look into that” effort to deflect blame for those failures in Michael Patrick Leahy’s analysis of Moran’s interview with talk radio host Jeff Katz.

Those actions would have prevented a riot, instead of facilitating the one that Governor McAuliffe so obviously wanted.

No one could have predicted that a mechanical failure would bring down a state police helicopter, but the riot happened according to the scenario McAuliffe and Moran set in motion and people died due to Governor McAuliffe’s fatal choices.

Don’t be fooled by the media’s obsession with criticizing the vigor or wording of President Trump’s honest and heartfelt response to what happened in Charlottesville, or Governor McAuliffe’s lies about finding white supremacist weapons caches.

This riot was not spontaneous, it was meticulously planned by Democratic Governor Terry McAuliffe and his Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security Brian Moran to fulfill a narrative they constructed to justify stifling the speech of the Alt-Right permit-holders – it had nothing to do with public safety and everything to do with advancing the identity politics that are the foundation of the modern Democratic Party.

We hope the Virginia legislature, or some other independent official body, will conduct an open and honest investigation of the decision-making of McAuliffe and Moran. When and if such an independent review is conducted we believe it will come to the same conclusion we have: Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security Brian Moran should be dismissed, Governor Terry McAuliffe should be impeached, or better yet resign, and both will be found culpable for the deaths of Heather Heyer, Trooper-Pilot Berke M. M. Bates and Pilot Lt. H. Jay Cullen.
